The Green Ark – Bostanie Community Garden

The open-access community archive of the Green Ark - Bostanie Community Garden, North Macedonia, containing the documentation of practices based on the principles of permaculture design and hands-on application of agroecology. The Green Ark is a civic organization that develops a community garden within the project “Development of The First Urban Garden in Skopje”, funded by the City of Skopje. They practice a participatory approach among a community of currently forty gardeners who grow edible, aromatic and medicinal plants in the garden for personal use. They are part of a regional network for preservation and exchange of seeds and sharing knowledge – scientific, traditional or personal – is a key value in Bostanie.
