Penelope Thomaidi is a freelance photographer and a visual communication designer with a background in Fine Arts. She loves working in the intersections between artistic practices and social action and has been a member of Hans Lucas photo agency since 2018 working on long-term projects on environmental and social issues while contributing to the press. Her photography has been shown in exhibitions and festivals in Greece and around Europe.

She holds a MA in Artistic Production and Research from the School of Fine Arts, Universitat de Barcelona, a BA from the School of Plastic Arts and Arts Sciences, University of Ioannina and is a graduate of Creative Documentary & Photojournalism one-year masterclass by Spéos & Magnum Photos in Paris.

Since 2013 she has been co-founder of What If Design studio in Athens where she takes on graphic and web design works mostly for cultural events and authors. In this context, she is currently taking care of the BoWB 2020 website.
