Eparkeia started as a meeting of people in 2010. Its aim is to create actions to meet the needs of nutrition, housing and creative expression (art). The trigger is made in the context of the action to create a cob hut from natural materials (clay, straw, sand) in Xanthi. This action gathered about 40 people from Greece and Europe. Thus it created the first nucleus of people who undertook to organise the creative gathering in Xanthi in collaboration with organisations from Greece and Sweden. More than 1500 people participated in the action during its ten-day period. Today EPAREKIA has cereal crops, a processing unit of mild processing with a traditional stone mill, production of flour, pasta, trachanades, etc. We also operate a complete workshop on ceramics and sculpture. A large number of creative people and organisations are gathered around EPARKEIA that in the difficult period we are going through as humanity, we find solutions to key problems we face. EPARKEIA is not a strict connection of people but mainly an intellectual aggregation. There is a constant interaction between people for survival, a constant interaction at the level of the mind. In essence, EPARKEIA is an Intellectual Community.
