In the Artist-Community Synergies, artists cooperate with communities who are holders of local knowledge and safeguard intangible heritage practices in the Balkans, co-documenting the community’s knowledge, biocultural memory and history through contemporary art practices.
Nikos Voyiatzis and Antigoni Cheilari is the selected artist duo of the Art Pluriverse II, cooperating with the community Cultural Association Pera Melana, setting their course of action and working together for 4 weeks. The outcome of the synergy is a research-based artistic documentation of the community through several art notes, records and various creative processes.
