Katerina Zachou is a cultural manager and museologist. Born and raised in Xanthi, she holds a degree in Greek Philology from the Department of Philosophy, University of Ioannina. After a few years of research and traveling, she discovered her love for museums and culture and particularly, the way museums expose and promote cultural identity. That’s when she got her MA in Museology and Cultural Management at the School of Architecture, AUTH. Inevitably she has been positively impacted and therefore she considers culture and tourism as a first-class development driver and she is committed to assist anyway she can. She has also studied fashion and is interested in entrepreneurship and innovation in cross-cultural contexts having a positive impact in communities.
Over the past six years, she has gained work experience through management of cultural projects for local enhancement, curating, organizing and implementing educational programs in museums, tour guiding, teaching, styling, customer service, and training personnel. Today she finds herself an active member of BoWB creative team. At the same time, she is involved in a project for cultural enhancement, while working as a mediator for the European Cultural Center of Venice.
